Three Presidents Storm Uyo for Inauguration of A’Ibom International Airport Friday

Akwa Ibom State Government is set for the official inauguration of the 30,000 capacity Uyo International Stadium completed within two years.

The inauguration to be performed by President Goodluck Jonathan on Friday will be witnessed by two other Presidents namely President of Ghana, Dr. John Dramani Mahama and President of Republic of Cote d’Ivoire, Dr. Alassane Ouattara.

Briefing newsmen Thursday in Uyo, the State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Mr. Aniekan Umanah, said the stadium is one of the landmark projects initiated and completed by Governor Godswill Akpabio administration.

Although the total cost of the project is yet to be ascertained, the Commissioner said at appropriate time the cost of building the international stadium would be made known as work is still going on in various components and surroundings.
